26-year-old Chicago man charged in the stabbing death of 48-year-old
O'Reilly was reportedly arrested a day after the incident, after he was the driver of a vehicle involved in a traffic crash in the 3900 block of S. Prairie Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood. He was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Police charged Sylvester Adams, 53, of the 20100 block of Oak Lane in Lynwood, with attempted murder and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He was arrested moments after the shooting early Saturday morning, police said.

Shootout at Rosemont Fashion Outlets kills 1, wounds teen
The gunman, in his mid-20s, opened fire just after 7 p.m. Friday near the food court at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall in Rosemont. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man who died as Joel Valdes, 20, of Skokie.

Former Bloomingdale Township highway commissioner pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an August 2020 indictment alleging he took over $280,000 in kickbacks for road work that in many cases was never performed.
