Hinsdale Central joined the ranks in Class 8A while Batavia climbed to #1 in Class 7A. Here are the latest rankings of Illinois high school football teams in each class, according to an Associated Press panel of sportswriters.

The crashes occurred late in the morning and involved 40 to 60 passenger cars and multiple tractor-trailers, two of which caught fire, Illinois State Police Maj. Ryan Starrick said.
