Two men found shot in the head in East Chatham

EAST CHATHAM, CHICAGO - Police were called to an apartment complex in the East Chatham neighborhood on Monday evening where they found two unidentified male victims inside a residence with gunshots to the head, authorities said.

According to police, an acquaintance went to check on the residence on the 900 block of E. 80th Street in the East Chatham neighorhood on the city's south side, and they discovered two unidentified male victims inside. The acquaintance immediately called police and responding officers arrived on scene to find each victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Though it's unclear how the person who discovered the victims was an acquaintance, Chicago Police have indicated the two men are yet to be identified.

Police have not made any arrests in connection with the incident and are still investigating the circumstances. Area Two Detectives are currently leading the investigation and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
