The shooting occurred just before noon in the Garfield Park neighborhood by an unknown offender. Two were stable and one is in critical condition.

Three shot mid-day in Garfield Park, one critical

CHICAGO - Just before noon on Saturday morning, police said three men were shot in the Garfield Park neighborhood.



Approximately 11:49 a.m. in the 3800 block of W Ferdinand, three men were standing outside a residence when they were shot by an unknown offender.

The first victim, a 22-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the face.

The second victim, a 19-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

Both of those two victims were transported to Mount Sinai and listed in stable condition.

The third victim, a 24-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Stroger Hospital and initially listed in critical condition.

No one is in custody at this time. Police did not clarify where the shots came from.

Area Four Detectives are investigating.
