A 30-year-old man was waiting for someone when he was approached by five unidentified male offenders all armed with handguns. One of the five offenders shot him and dragged him from his car.

Police said the girl was sitting in the back seat of a car when an unknown offender in a white SUV fired shots. Police did not indicate if the 1-year-old was linked to a target of the shooter or not.

Munoz pleaded guilty in September to wire fraud and money laundering while chairman and treasurer of the Progressive Reform Caucus. He used the money for personal expenses, including a family member’s college tuition, jewelry, clothing, and vacations.

An 11-year-old boy, 31-year-old woman, 33-year-old man, and 48-year-old man were all struck by gunfire and listed in serious condition.

Police have charged a 21-year-old Chicago man with murder, two counts of attempted murder, plus 6 additional felonies saying he's responsible for the home invasion Sunday morning that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old girl and left a 19-year-old male hospitalized.

Three Crest Hill officers responded to the scene and, when they confronted the man he stabbed one of them in the femoral artery. An officer then shot the man several times and he died on the scene.

The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. in the South Loop neighborhood, reportedly at the Ping Tom Memorial Park which runs along the south branch of the Chicago river.
