Shootout in Pilsen leaves 3 shot, 1 critical

CHICAGO - A shootout in the Pilsen neighborhood late last night left 3 men shot, with 1 of them in critical condition.



The incident reportedly occurred near 11:30 p.m. in the 900 block of W. Cullerton Street - near S. Shelby Court - in the Pilsen neighborhood on the city's lower west side.

Police said the victims were involved in an exchange of gunfire with offenders in a red pick-up truck when they were shot.

Two of the victims were walk-ins/drop-offs at Stroger hospital. The first of those is a 33-year-old male who suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm, and was listed in fair condition. The second is a 34-year-old male who was shot in the buttocks. He, too, was listed in fair condition.

The third victim is a 47-year-old male who was also transported to Stroger Hospital by the Chicago Fire Department. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was listed in critical condition.

There is no one in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating, but Police did indicate that all of the victims are known to police.
