Opinion: Surprise! He's Running.

As expected, J.B. Pritzker is running for re-election.

That's 3 OMG's, y'all! The excitement is real! Like, fo' real fo' real, ya feel me?!

Attempting to play the "Will He or Won't He?" game AFTER he donated $35 MILLION of his personal fortune to his re-election campaign fund was an ... interesting ... tactic but, yes, as expected, J.B. Pritzker is running for re-election.[1]

We'll cut him some slack. J.B.'s just a regular guy like us who started from the bottom now they here. I mean, political wunderkinds and masterminds like J.B. make mistakes too, you know?

Still, that type of political genius must be contagious because, not long after, political wunderkind in her own right, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot tried the exact same thing.[2] In her own black, lesbian, independent woman way, of course.

In any case, Governor Pritzker graces next month's cover of Governor's Quarterly Magazine and we were lucky enough to get an advanced copy.
