Scanner reports of the incident indicated 6 shots were fired near 2125 N Central Park and the man was struck in the head, chest, and twice in the leg.

Man shot and killed in Logan Square in the middle of the afternoon

CHICAGO - Police are reporting a male victim of unknown age was shot and killed at approximately 1:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of N Central Park in the Logan Square neighborhood.



The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 2100 block of N Central Park Avenue when a dark colored vehicle pulled up and an unknown offender exited the vehicle, authorities said. The offender produced a firearm and fired shots at the victim, striking him in the head and the chest.

Scanner reports of the incident indicated 6 shots were fired near 2125 N Central Park and the man was struck in the head, chest, and twice in the leg.



The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Area Three Detectives are investigating and we'll update this post as we know more.
