Man fatally stabbed in Homan Square area of North Lawndale

Despite his critical injuries, the victim managed to transport himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Man fatally stabbed in Homan Square area of North Lawndale

NORTH LAWNDALE, CHICAGO - A 37-year-old man was fatally stabbed late last night during a fight on the city's west side, authorities said.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., a 37-year-old male victim was sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle on the 3300 block of W. Roosevelt Road in the Homan Square area of North Lawndale on the city's west side when he was approached by an unidentified male. Police said a physical altercation ensued, during which the unidentified attacker stabbed the victim in the neck and three times in the chest area.

Despite his critical injuries, the victim managed to transport himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made in connection to the incident, and the identity of the attacker remains unknown. Area Four detectives are actively investigating the case, urging anyone with information to come forward.
