The man, who has yet to be identified, was shot in the 900 block of N Damen by a gunman in a white sedan.

Man fatally shot in Ukrainian Village neighborhood

CHICAGO — A man in his 30s was shot to death in the city’s Ukrainian Village neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said.



At approximately 12:55 a.m., authorities were called to the 900 block of N Damen, south of Damen and Augusta and just north of Damen and Walton, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his torso.

The victim, who remains unidentified by police at the time of this write-up, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A witness said the man was shot by an unidentified gunman firing from a white sedan.

Area Three detectives are investigating and there is no one in custody at this time.
