Just before 7:00 a.m. this morning a man was chased and shot while driving in Albany Park.

Man driving through Albany Park chased and shot

Update: Police are looking for a black Audi allegedly involved in the shooting.


CHICAGO - Police said a man was driving early this morning when a vehicle started chasing him and shot him in his car.



The incident happened before 7:00 a.m. this morning in the 4800 block of N. Kimball in the Albany Park neighborhood on the city's north side.

Police said a 30-year-old man reported he was driving in the above mentioned block when an unknown vehicle began to chase him. The man said someone in the car started shooting into his vehicle.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his back and was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition.

No one is in custody at this time. Area Five Detectives are investigating.
