Man critical after being shot in Logan Square drive-by

CHICAGO - Officials are reporting a young man is in critical condition after being shot in the head in a drive-by shooting in the Logan Square neighborhood last night.



Police say the incident happened in the early morning hours, around 2:15 a.m, in the 2700 block of N. California Avenue near the intersection of California and Schubert in the Logan Square neighborhood on the city's northwest side.

A 23-year-old male was walking on the sidewalk when someone in a silver sedan fired shots at the victim. One of the gun shots struck him in the head.

The Chicago Fire Department transported the victim to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

There is no one in custody and Area Five detectives are investigating.
