CHICAGO - Police are reporting three people have been shot at killed on the city's south side today, so far. We'll detail the incidents below.

This is being published at noon on an early spring Wednesday.



The first incident occurred around 8:55 a.m. in the 200 block of E. 130th Street in the Riverdale community area on the city's far south side.

Police said officers responded to a call of a person down and discovered an 18-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was pronounced on scene.

Police added that the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

No one is in custody. Area Two detectives are investigating.

The second incident occurred around 9:16 a.m. in the 4800 block of S. Loomis Boulevard in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Police said an approximately 30-year-old male, who is currently unidentified, was inside a parked vehicle at the above location when a red SUV approached and an unknown offender inside opened fire.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds about the body and was pronounced on scene. The offending vehicle fled southbound.

No other injuries were reported and no one is in custody at this time. Area One detectives are investigating.

The third homicide occurred around 10:49 a.m. in the 7800 block of S. Sangamon Street in Auburn Gresham.

Officers reportedly responded to a person shot and discovered a 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his head. The victim was pronounced on scene.

Circumstances surrounding this incident also remain under investigation.

No one is in custody. Area Two detectives are investigating.
