Joel Cammon, 44, of Blue Island, was arrested yesterday in the village of Alsip. Police say he's the man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman over a three day period last month in an abandoned building in West Pullman.

A 22-year-old woman was shot and killed during an argument with a man on the city's south side late Tuesday night.

Man shot at North Ave beach; officers hurt breaking up fights
The shooting occurred about 9 p.m. Tuesday and fights erupted nearby as crowds were cleared from the beach, police said. Three Chicago police officers were injured breaking up fights.
