TOMMY
Tommy is a precious 3-year-old Schnauzer mix. This cutie pie was purchased from a pet store when he was just a tiny puppy, and became homeless three years later when his owners could no longer care for him. Because Tommy spent most of his life with a family, he is already house-trained and accustomed to living in a home. While he is very loyal and craves affection from his guardians, like a lot of Schnauzers, Tommy can be suspicious of strangers. He bonds quickly with his humans, but prefers to warm up to visitors slowly. Tommy is great with other dogs, and would love to have some doggie play dates in his new home. This sweet and sensitive boy responds well to positive reinforcement and is looking for an adults-only household with adopters who will enroll him in training. Tommy weighs about 25 pounds and will need grooming regularly to keep his characteristic moustache and fur looking its best. Give this shy yet charming boy a chance, and you will have a devoted friend for life!

BIXBY
Bixby is incredibly sweet 11-week-old kitten. This tiny girl arrived at PAWS Chicago in early April when she was just a few days old, after someone turned Bixby, her mom, and her five siblings into Animal Care & Control as strays. Bixby and her family spent the first few weeks in a foster home, where she and her brothers and sisters were able to grow up in a safe, loving environment. Bixby is very curious, and took advantage of this time to practice important kitten skills like chasing feather wands, swatting at toy mice, and climbing things. Once she was old enough to be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, Bixby was transferred to the PAWS Adoption Center, and is eager to start her new life! This energetic girl is hoping to find loving adopters who are home often to keep her company, or a family with another feline as a playmate. Do you have room in your heart and home for this deserving kitty?
