A boutique accessory shop is setting up camp in the South Loop, moving from Hyde Park to South Michigan Avenue early next month.

Accessories by A’ni is planning to open in early August at 1227 S. Michigan Ave., according to the shop’s owner, Andrea White.

The shop will offer accent pieces, jewelry, candles, a few home decors and a fragrance, she said.

“It’s a woman-driven store,” she said. “I’m gonna have moderately priced pieces, some high end pieces. I want to satisfy the community, and I do know that high end is not always a good seller for right now with the economy.”

She’s liked her time in Hyde Park, but she couldn’t turn down the chance to move to the South Loop.

“I’ve had a place in the Hyde Park area, and it’s working for me, but I just wanted to spread my wings, and I had an opportunity to have that place [in the South Loop],” she said. “Where I am now though, I have business. I will be bringing my current customers with me.”
