Pity poor little lithe, limber Mckayla Maroney, the U.S. Olympic Team gymnast. After a nasty fall during her second attempt at the vault, she was forced to settle for a silver medal.
Maroney is perhaps destined to be remembered not for her athletic prowess, but rather her newfound Tumblr stardom. Standing on the podium during the medal presentation, a camera caught her pouting. Voila, a meme was born.
The Tumblr page, “mckayla is not impressed,” places Maroney in a variety of situations throughout history, with the famous and infamous. It’s now a viral sensation. You can check it out here - javascript:nicTemp();
So walking home this afternoon, I started to wonder what might not impress Maroney should she be plunked down in the West Loop. Then it came to me. An iconic restaurant with tiny, expensive food for a tiny gymnast! You can see my photo-editing effort above.
