A man entered a hotel on the 100 block of S. Franklin October 5 at 4:40 p.m. and asked the clerk for change in several denominations. During the exchange, the clerk became confused and felt the man asking for change scammed him out of $70. When he realized this, the clerk confronted the man, who fled the scene.

A man returned to his apartment in the 1500 block of West 17th Street at 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 1 and noticed his front door was broken. The man noticed his Epson printer and an XBox game system were missing. Some witnesses told him that a boy living across the hall stole the items.

Two men were standing on the 1200 block of W. 18th September 3 at 11:19 yelling at each other. One of the men grabbed an empty beer bottle and hit the other in the head, cutting his left cheek.
