Beer bottle beat down

Two men were standing on the 1200 block of W. 18th September 3 at 11:19 yelling at each other. One of the men grabbed an empty beer bottle and hit the other in the head, cutting his left cheek. Police were on patrol nearby and witnessed the incident. They stopped, arrested the offender and charged him with battery.
Offender throws fire hydrant cap through car window
A man was driving on the 2000 block of W. 21st September 3 at 10:38 p.m. when someone threw an object through the driver’s side rear window of his car. The man stopped and found his son was bleeding from the forehead. The victim did not have a cell phone, so he stopped and called police at a nearby laundromat. Officers arrived, searched the vehicle and found that someone had thrown a red city of Chicago fire hydrant cap through the window. They toured the area, but did not locate the offender.
Car break-in
A man returned to his 2001 Acura parked on the 1000 block of W. Roosevelt September 6 at 12:02 p.m., and found his front passenger side door broken and his $150 backpack, a laptop, a cell phone, and an iPod missing.
West side burglary
A man returned to his home on the 2100 block of W. Cullerton September 5 at 11:20 p.m. and found his home in disarray. The man called police who arrived and searched the home and found both doors on the home locked. After he entered the premises, the man found that someone had taken is Sony PlayStation and a video camera.
Sidewalk escape
A man was driving near the 1600 block of W. Jackson September 6 at 11:14 a.m. when a champagne colored mini-van drove in front of him and blocked his way. One man got out of the mini-van and started to approach his vehicle. The victim, fearing the man from the van had a weapon, drove on the sidewalk to escape the approaching offender. As he did, the man from the van pulled out a gun and shot at his vehicle. The offender then got back in the van and fled. Neither the passenger, nor the vehicle was harmed. Police arrived on the scene, but did not locate any spent shell casings or the offenders.
Robbery attack
A woman was walking north near the 1500 block of S. Halsted August 31 at 12:42 p.m. when a man walked by, grabbed her and started punching her in the face. The offender tried to pull her purse away and she started screaming. Witnesses came to the victim’s aid and started chasing the offender down Halsted. The offender fled in to a blue Honda Civic. The victim was treated for blunt trauma to her head and face on the scene, but refused to go to the hospital.
Wine bandit strikes
After having dinner and drinks with friends, a man returned to his home on the 800 block of W. Adams September 5 at 5:45 p.m. and found his front door unlocked. He searched his apartment and found a computer monitor, a Brooks Brother’s suit, a Rolex, some scuba gear, and miscellaneous bottles of wine missing.
The tall guy did it
A woman living on the 2000 block of S. State told police on August 28 at 8:49 p.m. that her boyfriend took two debit cards from her front pants pocket and then withdrew $300 from an ATM. The woman did not authorize the transaction. The woman also told police that her boyfriend likely knew her PIN number because he was “so tall” and was able to look over her shoulder while she performed ATM transactions in the past.
Man exposes himself on train
A woman was riding a north bound Blue Line train on the 300 block of S. Dearborn August 26 at 5 p.m. when she noticed the man next to her was fondling himself. The offender grabbed the woman’s arm, but she got up and moved to stand next to another passenger. The offender exited the train at the next stop, as did the woman in the opposite direction. She reported the incident to CTA officials who called police. Officers arrived and canvassed the area, but could not locate the offender.
This summary contains information taken from the arrest records from the 1st and 12th districts of the Chicago Police Department. Anyone named has only been charged with a crime. The cases have not yet been adjudicated.

hello,i think you need a road map.this is not about the beat down.october 7,2010,police blotter house burgled in the 1600 block of west madison street.hello,there no house in the 1600 west block.it intersects with ogden avenue.with the billy goat tavern on the southeast corner and the salvation army on the northeast corner of the block.i,m surprised that you would more accurate in your reporting.
