South Loop resident recklessly discharges firearm
07/20/2011 10:00 PM
Jonathan Jones, 31, is suspected of recklessly shooting a gun from his apartment — which is along the 2100 block of South Michigan Avenue — on the morning of July 15.
Jones’s neighbor says that she was walking with her children toward the car when she heard gunfire. She then turned and observed Jones, who she identified as a next-door neighbor, holding a black handgun. The neighbor placed her children in the vehicle and fled. She heard more gunfire while driving off.
Police were able to apprehend Jones in the mezzanine area of the apartment building. A review of security camera footage shows that Jones drew a black colored handgun under his shirt. Jones, though, denied shooting the gun and refused to allow police to search his apartment. Jones said there were items in his apartment he did not want the police to see.

After the appointment, the dentist went through the motions of scheduling a follow-up, while asking the victim for a kiss several times. The dentist then asked to see the victim’s breasts. Afraid of his actions, the victim gave him a kiss on the check and said she would be back in a couple of weeks.
The victim was then able to exit the room and the leave the dentist’s office.

Three police officers and fire department personnel arrived at Reggie’s at around 2 a.m. Sunday morning responding to a call of an injured person. As the person was treated and taken to Mercy Hospital, Dilworth tried to grab the injured person’s ID from a police officer.
The officer told Dilworth to back off and wait, but Dilworth slapped her hand. Officers then tried to place Dilworth in custody but he started to fling his arms and resist arrest. More police had to be called to subdue Dilworth, who will appear in court August 4.

Anthony, your comment is almost laughable. You should be on the western side of the ward. Then you would have something to complain about.

What is going on with the South Loop. Does Alderman Fioreti not even care about the South Loop. Mayor Daley has departed and not South Loop will slowly but surely start to fall apart. Fioreti doesn't care for the South Loop, he lost this part of town during the elections. We have gunshots on the 2100 block, and in the west loop they get their panties in a bunch if a club(Plush) gets loud after hours. However, Fioreti will address the west loop situation.
