A 49-year-old Chicago man and his 28-year-old son were charged with aggravated assault with a handgun after the father allegedly pulled a gun on a 29-year-old Chicago woman and said “Say hello to my little friend” after a verbal altercation at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in the 1500 block of South Wabash Avenue.

Police said the woman had argued with the 28-year-old Chicago man earlier in the day when the father returned and accused the woman of being critical of his son before pulling out the handgun and also saying, “This has your name on it.” The woman walked away and the police later came to the men’s apartment and discovered the gun and two boxes of ammunition.

Police charged Torrin Perry, 49, and Torrence Perry, both of the 1500 block of South Wabash Avenue.

Police charged two Palatine men with reckless conduct Saturday, June 9, after they allegedly attacked a mounted police officer and his horse at 300 South Lake Shore Drive outside Blues Fest.

Police said a 31-year-old man started the confrontation at 9:25 p.m. June 9 when he began to scream, yell and wave his hands at a mounted officer trying to clear the crowd at Blues Fest in attempt to agitate his horse, police said. Then a 25-year-old man allegedly threw a lighted cigarette at the horse. Both men were charged with reckless conduct.

A 36-year-old Chicago man was beaten by two men who took his cell phone and car after he exited the Tantrum club at 1023 S. State St. at 2 a.m. Sunday, June 10. The two men then drove off in the car southbound on State Street. The victim then went to get medical attention on his own, police said. A GPS unit in the car later located the car in the 9300 block of South Bishop Street.

A 24-year-old woman from West Chicago had her iPhone stolen and her 23-year-old husband was beaten after a confrontation with a rowdy group of teenagers at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, June 9, on a Red Line train at 188 N. State St. The woman told police she dropped the phone and a teenager picked it up and ran off the train at State and Lake.

When her husband protested, she said, the group circled her husband and began beating him with their fists around the head and face before running off. The husband was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

A 20-year-old Wood Dale woman had her bicycle stolen after she was knocked off the bike at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, June 9. She later recovered it from the thief after jumping into a cab and following him to the 500 block of West Quincy Street.

Police said the woman had bumped her head on the ground and scraped her knee after the attack and then she took a cab with a bystander to chase down the suspect who eventually dropped the bike and ran after the woman exited the cab and sought help from a security guard.

A 30-year-old Chicago woman was both the alleged victim and then the main suspect in a robbery that allegedly occurred at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, June 10, at 208 W. Washington St.

Police said a woman had called police to report she had been robbed by a man on a bicycle. After a doorman at the 208 W. Washington St. building told police he didn’t see any robbery, police said she began yelling at the doorman and had to be restrained by police. She told police that her wallet and all her money had been taken but she could not give a description of the offender.

Police then found both her wallet and money on her person. She then allegedly followed the police officer to his car and questioned both his career choice and education, police said. She was then charged with disorderly conduct. According to police, she was intoxicated.
