Police charged a former Chicago Bear football player with domestic battery Friday, April 13 after he allegedly threatened to throw a former girlfriend off the balcony of his apartment building at 1720 S. Michigan Ave.
Police said the woman, a 25-year-old Chicago resident, said she had broken up with David Terrell, 33, and had gone to live with her mother but returned to retrieve her possessions April 13. She told police a verbal confrontation ensued and then Terrell allegedly grabbed her, causing bruises to her arms, chest and neck and then threatened to throw her off the balcony and tell police that she had jumped.
She told police she had waited for Terrell to fall asleep before leaving the apartment at 2:30 a.m. and went to Mercy Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Terrell was drafted by the Bears as a wide receiver in 2001 from the University of Michigan and played for the Bears from 2001 to 2004.

He must be imprisoned for what he did with his former girlfriend, I can not just imagined the trauma suffered by that girl at this time. - James Stuckey
