He is very affectionate and loyal. Borys is happiest when sitting in laps, although he craves exercise and enjoys frequent walks and playtime. Man threatens cops with knife

A 38-year-old Chicago man was arrested for assault at a Blue Line station at 130 W. Congress Parkway on Thursday, March 22, after police said he pulled a knife on them. Police were called to the station at 10:10 p.m. to investigate a report of a gang disturbance when a CTA employee pointed to a man who was allegedly part of the disturbance. Police said when they went to question the man, he allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened them before an officer knocked the knife out of his hand with a baton.

Man robbed in jewelry store bathroom

Police reported a strange case of strong-armed robbery on Monday, March 26, when a man was assaulted in a jewelry store toilet stall allegedly by two men he said he knew. The victim told police he pulled up outside the store in the first block of North Wabash at around 5:20 p.m. March 26 in a van with his wife and daughter with the intention of buying a gift for his wife.

Near West Side's Simpson Academy offers new clinic and day care center

A Near West Side school for pregnant teens is almost finished with a major makeover whose goal is transforming a dumping ground for pregnant teens into a comprehensive program to help them succeed. Simpson Academy for Young Women, 1321 S. Paulina St., used to be a one-year school where women could come while they were pregnant, then return to their original schools after giving birth.

Sasha is curious about the world around her and thinks everything is new and interesting. She learns quickly and is easily house and crate-trained. Sasha already knows “sit” and “stay” and will do anything for a treat which keeps training fun and exciting for her!
