Condo dwellers talk safety law implementation

The Life Safety & High-Rise Ordinance, passed in 2004, requires a pool of pre-1975 commercial and residential high-rise buildings in Chicago to be brought up to an amended fire safety code by 2017. According to the city’s Web site, approximately 200 commercial and 1,100 residential buildings are obligated to make improvements. Read more...
