Pete’s Fresh Market was set to receive final approval from the full city council Wednesday, and is getting ready to break ground next week, Ald. Bob Fioretti said Tuesday.
Formal site work on the 60,000-square-foot market at Madison Street and Western Avenue should begin next week, Fioretti said, with a ceremonial groundbreaking to follow.

So... this is seriously getting ridiculous. I haven't seen anything at this site yet... not even a sign advertising that Pete\'s is coming. What is the deal? Every 2 months we are told this project should be breaking ground any day, but we\'ve seen nothing. This has been extremely disappointing.

This store should had been open two years ago. And still, Target and Costco will be open before Pete's Fresh Market does. I hope it means there will be a Green Line stop on Western and Lake in the near future.
