Residents back home at River City

Three weeks to the day after torrential rains poured into the lower levels of River City Condominiums at 800 S. Wells Street residents were cleared by the Chicago Fire Department Saturday to return to their homes.
Surface water coming behind torrential rains that dropped three to seven inches of water throughout Chicagoland flooded the 17-story complex’s basement and first floor destroying the buildings electrical, air and water systems rendering the building uninhabitable until fixed.
