Debate-watching time again, just like Biden and Palin

The Better Government Association and ABC-7 will broadcast debates between candidates for some of the highest offices in the county and the state this month, ahead of the Feb. 2 primary.
All of the live debates start at 7 p.m. and are being broadcast by Channel 7.
Tonight, Jan. 7, the Democratic Party candidates vying for president of the Cook County Board will air. Republican candidates aiming for the board presidency get their turn on Jan. 20.
A flurry of debates is set up for next week. On Tuesday, Jan. 12, Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate seat will face off.
The following night, Republicans going for governor will debate. On Jan. 14 come the Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate seat.
Democrats running for governor will hash out their differences, meanwhile, on Jan. 19.
Better Government Association executive director Andy Shaw will question candidates in the Republican and Democratic debates for governor and U.S. Senator. ABC-7 political reporter Charles Thomas will moderate half-hour debates for president of the Cook County board.
