Gale is a 3-year-old brown tabby cat that has a lot of love to give. Gale was brought to Chicago Animal Care & Control as a stray and now has a second chance at life at PAWS Chicago. This sweet girl had a rough past and came in with burn scars on her back. She also received a much needed surgery to repair her spine. Despite her past, Gale is very trusting and loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. She is very social and loves to play with fellow felines. Gale would love to find a loving home and a family to spend some time with.

South Loop shutdown

A former alderman won’t get to pay himself a salary out of cash from his bankrupt South Loop condo building, a federal judge said this month. The building at 1555 S. Wabash, owned and developed by former 1st Ward Ald. Ted Mazola and his partner Gus Mauro, went into bankruptcy at the end of December and has been involved in a rather nasty bankruptcy fight since then.

Kristil is a spunky, 1-year-old Shepherd/Terrier mix who loves to have fun. She is an active girl who loves to play fetch and run around the dog park. She has completed and excelled in an obedience class, and her trainer has offered Kristil’s new family free training classes for life because of her excellent behavior in class. Kristil hopes to find a loving home where she can be the only dog.
