August is a scruffy little redhead in search of his forever home! This fun and feisty 1-year-old Terrier came to PAWS in the spring, after he turned up at Chicago Animal Care & Control as a stray. Skinny and suffering from an eye infection, this cutie pie was in need of some TLC from PAWS Chicago vets and volunteers. These days he is happy, healthy, and ready to begin his new life! This smart cookie is trainable and very treat-motivated! August is hoping to find adopters who are similarly enthusiastic about learning, and will enroll him in obedience classes to build confidence and teach valuable doggie life skills. Minnie is a gorgeous 6-year-old black feline. This sweet girl was abandoned at Chicago Animal Care & Control by her last guardian, but thankfully she was rescued and brought to PAWS Chicago where she is currently awaiting a loving adopter. Minnie is used to the affection of a family. When you enter her suite, she is the first cat to jump into your lap, and purrs instantly when you pet her silky head. Minnie is crazy about playtime, and especially enjoys chasing furry wand toys. Minnie would make an excellent addition to an active home as the only kitty, but would also do well with another spunky feline.
