South Loop projects
01/25/2012 10:00 PM
A new retail development is being planned along Roosevelt Road in the South Loop, and a new student rental tower is being planned at Van Buren Street and Wabash Avenue.
Crain’s reports that the Bond Cos. is planning a mixed-use development between Roosevelt, Taylor, Canal and Clinton streets. It would have roughly 200,000 square feet of retail space and could have 460 apartments.
Further north, a rental tower across the street from Roosevelt University’s soon-to-open vertical campus would look like cantilevered black blocks. It would target faculty and students from the South Loop’s many buzzing campuses.
