Coffee futures

Just got back from a soggy stroll through Taste of Greece and I got some very good news: I’ll live a long life. I had a coffee reading performed by a spiritual reader and advisor. If you’re planning to take in Taste today in Greektown and are interested in your future, the coffee reader is at the corner of Halsted and Jackson.
The reading is regularly performed by Diana Lee, but she was on lunch break so her daughter Lisa—who is a certified coffee reader—filled in and read my coffee.
It works like this: the reader pours hot black coffee into a tiny demitasse cup and stirs in a teaspoon of sugar. Then, you take a couple of sips. The spiritual reader then receives a vision of what’s on the horizon.
“I can see what’s going to happen,” Lisa said. “It could be good, it could be bad. There’s nothing I can do about what the coffee tells me.”
The coffee told her I would be going on a long trip soon. Next week, I’m planning to take a CTA bus to an event on the Magnificent Mile, but I’m not sure that counts. Moments after my reading, I walked by the World Horizons booth where a sign promised a free three day-two-night trip to an exotic beach. Hmmm. Unfortunately, it was a time-share sales promo, so I gave them a wide berth.
I asked Lisa the spiritual reader if she knew ahead of time it would be rainy today.
“Oh, yes,” she said.
“Weather.com?” I asked.
“No, I felt it,” she said. “I have the gift.”
