South Loop neighborhoods are uber-walkable

Printers Row has landed the title of the City's most walkable neighborhood. Huff Post perused the latest numbers on the recent Walk Score tallies-in which Chicago is listed as the number 4 most walkable city, behind New York, San Franciso and Boston. Dearborn Park is the fifth most walkable neighborhood in the city, they say.
It's exciting news for us South Loopers--having two neighborhoods in the top 10--but there is one cautionary note: Walk Score says it measures how easy it is to live "car-lite" in a neighborhood, not how beautiful it is to take a walk there.
As far as I'm concerned, South Loopers can live completely car-free. And our walks are some of the most beautiful in the city, as well. Museum Campus, anyone? The mews that carpet our townhome associations? Prairie Avenue? Just for starters.
