Pita Heaven named correctly
it's a heavenly place

Just wanted to shout out on behalf of one of the many new restaurants taking a chance in the South Loop lately. I tried one on Sunday. Pita Heaven. It's on Michigan, just south of Roosevelt, and it was good. And clean and pleasant. And inexpensive.
I ordered the Mediterranean salad. Which included, among other things, dates, almonds, peppers and a sort-of-grilled mound of goat cheese. Instead of the chicken add-on, I added salmon. My daughter Molly had a chicken pita wrap and fries and a soft drink. Our bill was about $20. My neighbor and friend Anita--with whom Molly and I were going to Theater on the Lake after Pita Heaven to see After the Fall--ordered a pork kabob and roasted potatoes, which really looked delicious. And she said it was.
You order at the counter and they bring it to your table on nice plates. The atmosphere is simple; the menu is on a blackboard. And the decor has a Mediterranean feel. Check them out.

I visited Pita Heaven recently and I enjoyed the food they offer there but I wonder why they don\'t have falafel? I think they need to put that on their menu!
