It's Weather Mark, hands down

So where's the best place to watch a sports match in the South Loop--aside from your own home, of course? Fellow South Loop blogger Sloopin recently completed a poll--and Weather Mark Tavern was the clear winner out of 16 choices--which included "my couch," and "I don't watch sports." The sailing themed bar/restaurant got 85 votes and 24 percent of the vote.
The odd thing is that whenever I've been at Weather Mark, I haven't really noticed the sports. Unlike some of the other competitors on Sloopin's list, where the screens and the games dominate the atmosphere. So good job, Weather Mark! You please the people all the way around: those interested in sports, as well as those interested in good food, good friends and a good time.

Thanks Bonnie! Keep in mind that Weather Mark came on strong at the end with some help via their social media pages. Regardless, it's a solid place to watch sports. I love the Weather Mark to hang, but hard to believe it beats out Krolls for sports. It has like 3 smallish tvs, no?
