Let it snow!
It doesn't seem to matter

It sure has been cold and snowy--but one thing about the South Loop: the minute the snow stops, the streets and sidewalks clear and it's walkable and not all that slippery. Why is that? Because of the fantastic snow removal companies our homeowners associations hire to remove the snow? Or is it the city coming by with converted garbage trucks to shovel and salt? Or is it just the foot and vehicle traffic we have that punches the snow down into smooth walkable and driveable surfaces? Or do we residents who live South of Congress just have true (snow) grit in our character? All I know is that even after the recent massive snowfalls, the last couple of days haven't been bad for getting around on foot or via vehicle at all. What does everyone else think?
