The Hunt for a New Home Begins
Making Room for Baby
06/12/2010 7:55 AM
This weekend, we are going to embark on a South and West Loop expedition. The goal: find a new place to live this fall. We are going to miss our lovely condo, but as our little one grows and begins to find her way in various crevices, she needs her own space. Do we want to buy something else? Nope. I do not want to buy anything anywhere for some time. I'm comfortable renting out our place and finding another place to call home for a while.
Our sidewalk observing began last weekend and picks up again tomorrow. Before we head out and continue with our research, I ask you: do you have a favorite building? Do you think your neighborhood rocks? Are there baby friendly high rises that outdo another you know of? As you might expect, we want to stay near the South/West Loop areas. This feels like home.
If you see a family of three bouncing around from building to building, that'll be us - bright pink stroller and all.

while im 2 blocks west of damen (so not quite west loop) -- the townhomes on madison are great for family living! spacious, new and affordable. with quick access to transit and a nice walk away from parks and restaurant it really is becoming a very family-friendly area. i suggest you check it out. for the price, you cant beat it!
