City's new website lets you watch as they work

The city’s first major snowfall is finally upon us, and that means snowplows are out in force. According to a press release from the city’s streets and sanitation department, all 278 of the city’s snowplows are out scraping the roads for rush hour.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting and killing two people outside a West Loop nightclub early Christmas morning, according to Chicago Police.

A 21-year-old-man was shot Monday evening on the Roosevelt Green and Orange Line el station around 7 p.m., according to police. Two people were being questioned in relation to the incident.

New redistricting map would split South Loop between four aldermen

The first map of Chicago’s political battle lines was submitted to City Council Thursday, and it adds two new aldermen to the South Loop, splitting the neighborhood between a total of four representatives in city council.
