Man found dead on South Loop street corner
Police found 40-year-old man at corner of Roosevelt and Wabash

UPDATE 5:25 p.m. Wednesday:
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has officially ruled the death a suicide. They said the man died of multiple injuries sustained by falling from heights.
Police said they were still conducting a death investigation, but would not comment any further if the death was a suicide.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A man’s body was found on a street corner in the heart of the South Loop early Tuesday morning, according to Chicago Police.
Police said a man in his 40s was found unresponsive on the corner of Roosevelt Road and Wabash Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
He was taken to Mercy Hospital soon after, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
A man who picked up the phone at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office Tuesday night said they wouldn’t have an official cause of death until Wednesday morning, but the Chicago Tribune reported they were told by the examiner’s office that the man appeared to have fallen from height.
Police said they were conducting a death investigation.
