Trader Joe's scheduled to open Friday
09/08/2011 1:47 PM
After months of construction and renovation, Trader Joe’s new location at Roosevelt Road and Wabash Avenue is set to open this Friday, Sept. 9.
A December 2010 article in Chicago Journal reported that the store would be 14,000 square feet, and that the company has not requested any TIF money.
The store is also set to include an underground parking garage — one of the things the city asked the store to do was provide more parking.
Trader Joe’s is best known for its low prices on organic foods and wines, as well as its varied selection of store-branded foods.

Actually, I was pretty sure Trader Joe's is well known for its refusal to sign a fair food agreement with the farmworkers who pick their tomatoes. http://ciw-online.org/101.html#cff

I thought it was best known for two-buck Chuck.
