Dead man found in Little Italy trash can

Scavenger came across body while rummaging through trash Monday morning

Original story:

A dead man’s body was found in a garbage can in Little Italy Monday morning, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The body was found by a scavenger rummaging through garbage cans in the alley behind the 1400 block of West Flournoy Street around 9:30 this morning, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said they had no information about the man, as of 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, and told Chicago Journal to call back later.

A police spokesman did not have any other details available about the man, such as race or approximate age. Police said detectives are investigating the man’s death.

How nice. How do things like this escape the Tribune? I guess they'd rather talk about Rahm's time in the triathlon. If anyone has any further info on this story can you post a link?
