Rick Levin & Associates is scheduled to auction off the vacant parcel at 1000 S. Michigan on July 27 at 1 p.m. in Rosemont.
One of the few empty lots on Michigan Avenue, the suggested opening bid price is $9 million.
Cook County Circuit Court Judge Robert Quinn ordered the auction as part of a foreclosure suit that First American Bank brought against Renaissant Development and several other defendants in April 2008.
Renaissant, an active player in South Loop condo construction during the boom years, had wanted to build a condominium building at the site.
