The blog Sloopin’ reported last week that the upscale South Loop sports bar The Scout was slated to open in a few days, so we rang owner Chris Bravos to look into it.
Bravos said he hasn’t set a specific date yet for the open — he’s still got another inspection to go through with the city — but he’s shooting to have it ready to go by the end of the first week of August, in time for Lollapalooza.
That makes sense — in our interview with him earlier this summer, he sounded like a big fan of the music fest. He told us he wanted the place to be somewhere both concertgoers and bands could go before and after the festival.
Lollapalooza is scheduled for August 5 through 7.
