Near West Side bank branch robbed

A Bank of America branch located at 140 S. Ashland was robbed this morning, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigations special agent Ross Rice.
Rice said the incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. No one was injured during the robbery and no suspects are in custody.
FBI agents have opened an investigation into the bank robbery.
