A series of four public meetings about the future of the northern end of Grant Park are scheduled to start next Monday, May 24, at 7 p.m. at the Spertus Institute, 610 S. Michigan.
The Chicago Park District hired the Brooklyn-based landscape design firm Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates for $4.2 million last fall to re-imagine a 25-acre stretch of northern Grant Park, from Daley Bicentennial Plaza on the west to Peanut Park, an area adjacent to Lake Shore Drive, on the east.

The contract, as Chicago Journal reported, calls on the firm to create a conceptual plan for the area informed by public meetings and comments left on a Web site created about the effort, among other duties.
Planning meetings about northern Grant Park are also scheduled for May 26 at South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Dr.; June 9 at the Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway; and June 10 at the Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park.
Northern Grant Park isn't the only high-profile process underway for a downtown park district property. The district and its contractors are also developing plans for a new design for Northerly Island.
Grant Park Advisory Council head Bob O'Neill said Monday evening at one of the council's meetings that a follow-up session to the first Northerly planning meeting may be held later this summer.

What is the web site mentioned in your article? I am unaware there is a web site that we can go to regarding the renovation of Daley Bicentennial Plaza park.
