Next week, the city council's health committee is set to discuss a
resolution introduced by Ald. Robert Fioretti (2nd) about the public
health threat posed by the species procyon lotor.
Also known as the
raccoon.
Here's the text from the committee agenda:
Notice is hereby given that the Committee on Health will meet on
Tuesday April 13, 2010 in Room 201-A of City Hall at 9:00a.m. to hear a
resolution introduced by Alderman Robert W. Fioretti of the 2nd Ward,
on the health threat posed to the citizens of the City of Chicago by
the proliferation of the species (procyon lotor) commonly known as the
raccoon.
