One of the biggest fast food operators in the land may be arriving in
the West Loop.
McDonald's is seeking to obtain a special permit it
would need to open a restaurant with a drive-through at 1380 W. Lake, according the Zoning Board of
Appeals' March agenda.
The parcel on Lake, which is currently vacant, is zoned for manufacturing, and all proposals for drive-through facilities in such districts automatically trigger a review by the zoning board, which is scheduled to meet March 19 at 9 a.m. in city council chambers.
Check Chicago Journal's March 25 edition for further details.
