The Christmas Tree Collection
it's the latest attraction at the Roosevelt Collection

As everyone knows, I have loved the Roosevelt Collection since Day 1. The layout, the theater, the lights, the colors, absolutely everything about it. And when the new owners--who took over after the complex on Roosevelt, just west of Target went very broke--decided to remove the short buildings that were muddling what could be a very nice open courtyard in the middle in order to enhance the plaza-like atmosphere and attract some good retail or restaurant tenants, I loved it even more.
And now I love it even more.
Because while the enhancement and construction await completion in the middle of the two condo buildings and the Roosevelt Icon theater complex at the end of the courtyard, it contains a nice old-fashioned Christmas tree lot. Adding to the ones that dot our South Loop Christmas landscape from Polk and Dearborn to 9th and Wabash and beyond, this is a great holiday development!
I certainly don't wish the Roosevelt Collection a long wait for a finished courtyard and a lot of great tenants, but I sure hope they reserve a spot for a lot--for future holiday tree seasons.
