Five Guys on South Wabash In the South Loop around the time it opened

My daughter has been a member of "Project Onward" at the Cultural Center since 2006. It's an art studio whose members have mental illness and developmental disabilities. Molly, along with many of her studiomates has autism. But no matter what any of the artists have, they all have talent. And the studio and gallery are a popular attraction in Chicago.

A few weeks ago, the studio put together a show in which they asked the artists to do something representative of their neighborhoods. The artists live in neighborhoods that span the entire city. Molly decided to do a small colorful drawing of the new Five Guys on South Wabash, which she felt represented her South Loop.

The show will be hanging in the Project Onward Gallery just outside the studio until November 14.

The good news is that the piece sold today (but it will remain in the gallery until the show comes down). A sale always makes us happy. It was spotted by someone who visited the studio and gallery and liked "Five Guys South Loop by Molly McGrath." Enough to want to own it.

Congratulations Molly! It's a beautiful drawing. Talent abounds with mother, and daughter.
