I hate it when two good things compete for the same day/time in my life. And that's what happened last night. Mary was giving Maggie a belated birthday celebration at Villains on Clark, while Dennis was giving a neighborhood history tour for South Loop Neighbors--which started at Blackie's a few doors away. I decided to be in two places at the same time. Practically.

First, I joined the tour because it started earlier. We traipsed through the sites from Printers Row (Did you know St. Peter's used to be at Harrison and Clark? I didn't.) to Dearborn Park (land that I live on that was overwhelmingly filled with railroad tracks long ago) to Grace O'Malley's (where Fitness Formula Club provided goodie bags to the tour-goers).

Then I departed for the Margaret party. When I got there, many of the guests had take home boxes. They said they liked the food. And they seemed like they were having a great time. Mary made cupcakes and brought them to the party, and I put three in a take home box to have in the morning. I gave Maggie a box of Fannie May Mint Meltaways--and an extra goodie bag from FFC.
