South Loop residents interested in taking a spin through the new
Columbia College Media Production Center should block out a time this
evening.
The building will be open for neighbors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight. From approximately 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. there will be tours for members of the Columbia community, a spokeswoman for the college said.
And at 1 p.m., a ribbon cutting. Columbia president Warrick Carter, Columbia board chair Allen Turner, Ald. Pat Dowell (3rd) and architect Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang will do the honors. Mayor Daley is expected.
Here's my story about the center.
And Time Out Chicago took a stroll through the building.
